Pros

401K matching. Healthcare. The basic benefits of a job that you would expect. Some awesome people, but most of them have quit or been laid off at this point. It sounds like they finally made some cuts to leadership in this layoff round, so that's a start.

Cons

There's no clear vision here. Every quarter has a total 180 in strategy, followed by a round of layoffs. Institutional knowledge, career growth, team morale, any sense of stability, all keeps slipping away. This has left the company with tech that doesn't work and people that don't know how to work together, and are resentful of one another. I'm not sure which is worse. This company has repeatedly had layoffs, then set up remaining employees for failure by not giving them the proper resources, overworking them, and then, when they inevitably fail, laying them off as well.

Pros

The ICs were great people who cared about their fellow employees

Cons

-Painted a picture of a visionary "AI" start up with unicorn potential. In reality the product was very sub par, and any quality work was done by ICs who dodged the "technology" to get insights for clients -Leadership team was very out of touch with company progress and what it would actually take to build a platform of the capabilities that were pitched to investors. Im still not sure if they knew how big that gap was or not. -The company was run by a close network of insiders who lacked industry experience. -They financially wrecked any sort of financial upside employees would have had with a turnaround by taking on irresponsible rounds with preference over employee stock. I hope more current employees understand this and challenge the leadership team on this at an all hands. -No one wanted to have tough conversations about the lack of progress. Moved at a snails pace. -Handled 3+ layoff rounds very poorly. -Really bothered me how leadership would take political stances that they knew would put them in a favorable light with employees, but they wouldn't be there when it actually mattered (didn't bother to show up to layoffs for employees who had been there since the beginning)

Pros

Nice office, free lunch on Fridays, folks invested in DEI and volunteering (VidMob gives does good work)

Cons

— This company is spiraling down the drain. There have been 4 surprise layoffs in the last 1.5 years, marketing and strategy were gutted. Most talent has been made redundant, quit, or is looking for the door. — Leadership is trying to unload the SaaS product, the rest of the company is run on a skeleton crew. — The surviving PMs and creative strategists are overworked and led by out to lunch managers more concerned with office politics. — To keep things afloat they hire new people at lower salaries than those they laid off, lying about roles and responsibilities to get anyone in the door. — Agency folks: is a career dead end! they no longer do actual Strategy here. You will be an account person making analysis reports all day. No book worthy work — Everyone is trying to get out before the next surprise layoffs (they "promise" no more, 4th times the charm, right?) I would quit if the market weren't so bad.
