Where to start.
I've heard the management that was most problematic moved on, which is fabulous, but they were only one issue.
They did everything they could to defend management that was way in over their heads. They had no idea how to communicate with people efficiently, every issue, no matter how minute, was treated as an apocalyptic catastrophe (though ironically most issues were caused by SOPs and management).
The operations are utterly ridiculous. if you've ever worked wine warehouse/shipping jobs before, I can't even begin to do justice in describing how backwards and counter-intuitive it is. There is no streamlining of any kind, every method of retrieving a bottle of wine from location takes hours longer than is necessary. I'm honestly surprised they've lasted as long as they have.
During covid, aside from wearing masks, there was absolutely no protocol and nothing to help protect employees - they found out an employee was positive and let them continue to work the day out, fantastic for everyone else!
