- "In the 5 years I had been there, I had seen 4 managers come and go, all because they were either an alcoholic or stressed from the jobs." (in 3 reviews)
- 1.018 Nov 2023Kitchen Team LeaderCurrent Employee, less than 1 yearNorwich, England
Pros
Great if you like 13 hour shifts, short or no breaks, and inept management.
Cons
Terrible working conditions, even worse living conditions if you choose to live in, no managerial support (they like to take holiday in busy periods, and laugh when you tell them your suicidal. The worst place I've ever worked (and I've worked at some dogs), it's a real shame because this pub used to be great; now it's the most run down uncared for place on the broads. Just awful.

Pros
A lot of nice people, varied role and progression opportunities
Cons
Can be an environment where you are spoken about behind your back by team members and management. Not much appreciation for hard work.

- 4.024 Aug 2023ChefCurrent EmployeeManchester, England
Pros
Decent team, enjoyable to work with on most days
Cons
The quality of ingredients should be much better considering how much the company charges. Better menu variety with cheaper options
- 1.027 May 2023Bar StaffFormer Employee, less than 1 yearSouthampton, England
Pros
The other bar staff were helpful at explaining stuff
Cons
Hired me knowing my availability and then terminated because they said they wanted someone to work certain hours, which hadn’t been brought up at all during the hiring process, my unpaid trial shift, bringing in documents all at my own time and expense or even during my induction. Were barely even apologetic about this. Just to add insult to injury they haven’t even paid me for all hours I’ve done and I haven’t been given a payslip
