Hi, this is Ken Yeung, the CEO at Wati. Thank you for sharing your feedback. As a growing startup, we sometimes need to adjust priorities quickly based on market conditions, customer needs, and new opportunities. While this can lead to shifts in direction, our goal is always to ensure we are making the best decisions for the long-term success of the company and our teams. We appreciate you raising this and will continue working on improving alignment and communication as we move forward. Thank you!

Pros

1) The pay is equivalent to the work loading. High autonomy. Most staff with entrepreneur sort of mindset. Many staff are very willing to offer help. 2) Excellent products that really can help many startups. 3) Great working location.

Cons

1) Head of Customer didn't know many things and without a wide range of industrial experience. Relied on young people on doing what a head should do which was making decision and set directions on the SOP. Couldn't manage the team members' productivity = wasting money. Although stayed peace in the team, cheer up and give autonomy seemed good. 2) Head of marketing was giving downgraded strategies and without more coordinating with other head before doing so. Seemed like a disaster.

Pros

Remote working is the only positive in Wati.

Cons

1) The CEO's toxic work culture - will thrash in front of everyone due to unrealistic expectations. 2) Zero employee trust by the management. The Finance team treats the employees like trash. 3) No vision or goal for the entire company. Changes every quarter. 4) No proper hierarchy or clear communication with the teammates. 5) They will trust only HK employees or not listen to people from other countries. They have a clear bias on that aspect.
