Management could care less about employees Unfair pay Managers try and hold you back from moving up They feel that you shouldn't have another job, but won't pay more because they feel you should want to work for so little because it's cool to work in news and being able to say that is good enough.

You are not going to be making much money. Some management staff can tend to micromanage. Since you work primarily with local clients, you may be asked to create things that you know do not look good just because "that's how we've always done it". Upward movement is not that available unless people retire, move on, or you decide you want to move laterally into a new department. The incentives usually tend to be snacks from the vending machine instead of bonuses or raises. Things may have changed since the time I was there.
