      The glory days are over for Wagner

      Pros

      The company brand is well known. Low health insurance cost relative to other companies.

      Cons

      The company is a shadow of their former self. e.g. Sales were $350M in 2006 and $150 today. They are down-sizing and closing facilities. They make paint sprayers that should only be used outdoors. This was great when everyone needed to paint their home every 7 years. Now, with maintenance free siding, their products are becoming irrelevant. They have tried to diversify, but "spray tanning"? Really?

      Pros

      Great team of people who truly care for each other. Camaraderie is strong, and almost like a big family. Beautiful new offices, new cafe and building remodel, employee gym onsite. Excellent work/life balance. Supportive of family time. Decent pay and good benefits.

      Cons

      Aggravating silos. Some departments work well together, and the culture is improving some. But some departments, even on the same floor or within 25 steps of each other in the office seem miles apart from each other. Advancement opportunities are few and far between. Senior leadership is brought from outside, and they bring more advanced positions from outside. 2017 shakeup at the top of the MN site is trickling down to all levels, and not all of the changes are good. Changes were very poorly communicated to the staff, and some of the new leadership seems to have zero regard for his team. No communication or real leadership. Many current and former employees refer to it as "a sinking ship".

      Pros

      Just heard all new employees start with 4 weeks of PTO and those here longer get even more! Household brand name, good upper management, onsite cafe and fitness center, and majority of people here more than willing to help you.

      Cons

      Pockets of departmental silos and a few managers that could use some reminders on the company's five values.
