Not the place you want to work

Pros

Relaxed dress code, open office environment, in demand product/service being provided

Cons

There was a very cliquey atmosphere that felt like high school at times and one of the worst places I ever worked. If you were in you were in, if not good luck with the struggle to try to fit in. There was a large divide between salaried and hourly employees that was very clear from the start. Many of the managers seemed to have their positions based on popularity/who they knew, rather than qualifications - promoting people went the same way. A lot of the employees seemed to be there to socialize rather than work. The style/customer service manager was always very unapproachable and more interested in playing favorites than managing. The Ecommerce manager seemed to be more worried about being popular than doing her job (no one was quite sure what that was). The president seemed very oblivious to what was going on in the day to day environment as well. Very low pay for the amount of work to be done, little vacation time, and expectations of working almost a 7 day week. There was also not much room for growth.

Pros

Absolutely nothing. Even the free coffee is bad.

Cons

Horrible horrible company with failing business and will be laying off as a result (meanwhile the CEO splits his time between Milwaukee and Cayman Islands so there's obviously money somewhere LOL). Management here is idiotic and speaks in jargon and cliches to fill time and space, and because they love hearing the sound of their own voice. They have also been sugarcoating the lay offs, making it sound like it was the former employee's idea to leave ("so-and-so decided to part ways with Wantable, they are moving onto better things and are going to do great, we're so excited for them in this new chapter!"), instead of admitting to downsizing. The culture at this company took a complete nosedive in the past few months. Everything about this company is doomed, considering it's failing in an oversaturated market and has been in business for almost 7 years, I doubt Wantable will make it past 2021. Save yourself and get out ASAP, go work for a company with a benefits package that treats you as if you're a real human being (unless you're the CEO or CMO and can take every other day off as PTO!) and that doesn't have a failing product or service.

Pros

cute and trendy office space.

Cons

You think you are going to be thrown into this awesome world of trendy fashion but all of the customers are middle-aged women with boring style! As a stylist you sit on your laptop your entire shift and style orders and it can get excruciatingly boring. We have ridiculous goals to achieve. If we are behind on goals we get told we need to hurry up and yelled at. We are expected to reach 6-10 orders an hour, I fear for my job when I fall behind. I am scared to even use the bathroom or have a meeting for fear that I will get in trouble. And now comes the problem with inventory, they had us send out sweaters, jeans, and jackets in SUMMER! So obviously customers were upset and left us bad reviews. Well even though we were TOLD to send out this stuff we still get reprimanded when our scores go down and get reviews saying "you sent me cold weather stuff in the middle of summer". Now on to the issue with hours, I am part-time and was promised 32 hours a week. Great! That's just what I'm looking for because I am in school! I think there was one month where I actually had that consistently, now I have 8 hours every other week and am lucky if I reach 25 the next. This is not good for someone with bills etc.. This company is a fluke, they overwork the stylist manager and when there is not enough orders they come up with these random "theme boxes" like the End of Summer box, people order them and guess what!? We don't have ANY summer clothes!! & guess who gets in trouble when the customer is upset their summer edit doesn't have summer clothes in it?! The stylists do. Also they schedule you to work 6-8pm some nights like what?! I never said I was available and then they will scheudule you every single weekend! Yes Sundays too! The best thing I can say about this company is they have cute place to work and the idea of it is great. Side note they cut the holiday pay this year. This is a horrible company to work for with so much potential.
