Pros

After over two years working at Waterplan, I can say it’s a fantastic place to grow and make an impact. The team atmosphere is genuinely supportive—colleagues are always willing to help each other, which makes a big difference in day-to-day work. Working remotely with a goal-oriented approach offers great flexibility, allowing for a good balance between work and personal life. Leadership is approachable and values everyone’s input, so you feel heard and empowered. There’s also a constant encouragement for new ideas, and knowing your contributions can shape the product is incredibly motivating. Teams collaborate well across departments, creating a strong sense of community.

Cons

If you’re looking for a role where you can coast, this might not be the right fit. The culture here rewards proactivity and a hands-on approach, so you’ll need to be ready to jump into challenges and drive results.

Pros

Work surrounded by highly qualified individuals—some of the smartest, most talented, and wonderful people I have ever met. Great work environment with full flexibility and remote options. You’ll have lots of individual responsibility in a highly horizontal structure, allowing you to shine without bureaucratic or hierarchical restrictions. Your growth is entirely up to you. There’s a constant challenge to become a better professional, alongside guidance and tools to help you. All you need is enthusiasm, proactivity, and a willingness to learn.

Cons

Fast-paced environment, with no time to slack. As with any startup, there are always many things to do and projects that need to be completed ASAP, so there’s always more work to find. On the other hand, excelling here requires at least a bit of a workaholic spirit and a true love for what you do.

Pros

Waterplan has a strong mission that has remained central since I joined as one of the early team members. I’m glad to see that this mission is followed with increasing energy and passion as we grow. The flexibility to work from anywhere is a major benefit. Leadership is open to feedback and operates with a high level of transparency, which creates a positive work environment. As someone with a scientific background, I appreciate how well my skills align with my role here. Waterplan is one of the fastest-growing startups, and it’s exciting to be part of this dynamic journey.

Cons

Like most startups, priorities can shift quickly, and adapting to these changes can be challenging. The fast-paced environment sometimes requires extended working hours. While remote work is flexible, it also limits opportunities for face-to-face collaboration and you tend to miss that human touch. The decision-making process can vary, with some minor decisions taking a long time, while bigger ones can be approved very quickly. This can be challenging to navigate at times.
