Pros

Company started off well. Changes in management throughout the years has proven to be very problematic. Tried to maintain that small business atmosphere but couldnt. Ability to work from home a nice plus but not enough.

Cons

Over the years, the moral within engineering ( and many other areas of the company ) have been on a steady decline. Even though management talks of employee value, its just selective talk. While almost all engineers have gone ( some 2-3 years ) without a single penny in salary adjustment, some members of HR encounter $40k pay raises. And to cap it off, HR even tells its group not to hire anyone above 30 years of age...in a meeting ! I got that from someone in that meeting ! Good engineers have been fired for no reason other than for the manager at the time to show some level of power and change. I've seen the same ( fired ) engineer rehired some 1 year later and now doing the same work because they needed his knowledge. Outwardly and inwardly, Webvisible are worlds apart. If the economy was in better shape I would not be surprised to see all of engineering quit...most stay because, well, its easier to do so at the moment. The company has lost direction ( and major clients like ATT ). Some long term projects ( 4+ months ) ended up being cancelled in the final week....with no real understand by engineering or discussion as to why by management. Management does one thing, engineering simply tries to follow. Most people are just waiting to see if the company can be purchased....The moral of engineering really is at rock bottom. Trust has been broken and its showing....Way too many new managers ( managers managing managers ! ) and way too few engineers to do the work. Lack of respect for employees from management will simply not prevail in the end.You lose good employees and all their knowledge, for what ? Not the way to build a solid company...unless of course you simply want to sell it, cash in on the money and disappear into the sunset with a big paycheck. Management should either win an Oscar or leave as they are so far from reality they fail to see anything other than themselves...truly believing they are the next Google.... Of course, WebVisible will still be promoting their outward vision to the rest of the world, which is easy to do....but the waters beneath the surface are muddy and poisonous. We shall see who wins in the end.

Pros

The idea of WV is a good one. Yes, small businesses need that type of service. There are good people there, both in and out of Sr. level mgt.

Cons

Here we go...wrong people in middle management! Everyone is out for themselves and struggling to maintain their own visibility. This is not the issue though, the real issue is the way that people go about making themselves "visible" to management. Let's take other's ideas and make them seem like our own. "Look busy" and make sure you say things like, "oh, I was just about to say that!" That way you never have to do (or produce) anything original.
