Horrible Company

Pros

There a few good people but mostly not

Cons

Management and leadership has their heads so far up you know where it’s ridiculous. The clubs are run on ridiculously tight budgets and nothing is updated or fixed for that matter. The pay is terrible and they make you jump through a ton of hoops to even hit your bonuses and then if you do it takes forever to get paid what is owed (if at all). I fought with corporate for 3 months on over $2k in bonuses that were owed and I never got paid for. Absolute corporate garbage company that does not give a flying F about you or any of its members.

Pros

1. There are amazing, authentic, and friendly staff that work at this company that really love and care about people 2. It is truly amazing to work at a fitness club where you can exercise during the day 3. The members there are really special and the personal trainers really want to improve lives 4. The company has the potential to be something really special with the right leadership

Cons

1. There is a high turnover rate because the sales professionals simply aren't treated with any respect unless they "reach goal" (and even then it feels fake) 2. The technology used is still leftover from the 2000s and is constantly running into problems and breakdowns 3. Sales goals are often unrealistic putting team members into a trap of "accountability without enforceability" 4. If you don't reach your goals you're basically making $15 an hour no matter how hard you work with little training or guidance on how to get new leads other than call up old members and try to get them to come back so you just sit around all day waiting for inbound leads and walk-ins 5. Marketing strategy is sub-par from the 1990s-2000s and spends way too much money getting "leads" and yet marketing team is paid top salaries while sales reps are expected to get leads for $0 6. New ideas are not welcome at all because the ~ 80s-90s corporate culture there is all about "control" and keeping people in their place 7. There's no real professional development training of value so after you leave it's like trying to find a job in the 2020s coming straight from the 1990s and I feel sorry for the younger employees who just do mind-numbing work and gain weight before they leave because they are so unhappy 8. They expect teams to sell corporate discounts but no one ever does because they don't offer the tools to do so - the only people who buy those packages are usually members who own their own company but then they complain that employees don't use the membership 9. They don't even ask members how to make the club better enough - they just make superficial improvements without getting better equipment, adding new technologies, or adding new features to the club membership that could improve the club experience for members
