      Toxic culture so find a team that is connected

      Pros

      Good benefits, life can be easy if you are in a well connected team. Most smart people have left and the firm is not performance oriented, so if you are halfway decent and don’t hurt egos you can have a “good life” here.

      Cons

      Weak leadership, pretends to be good in DEI but the (woman) CEO is incompetent and has surrounded herself with political and incompetent women. Very difficult unless you are part of the group.

      Good benefits. Remote work allowed.

      Cons

      Many leavers in the recent months following the layoff last year. Management seems to be consolidating books and as a result, we see many Partners retiring. The highly valued Culture of the firm is almost non-existent now.

      Generally nice and capable day to day colleagues.

      Cons

      Definitely an “in” and “out” group dynamic, so your experience largely depends on which management clique you align with and whether they’re in or out in the eyes of senior leadership.
