Pros

Great benefits, nice building. On paper this place looks great. Once you get in here you'll quickly learn it is a disaster.

Cons

This place is getting worse year after year. Terrible "leadership" and pretty bad morale through out the place. I have been here more than 20 years and it breaks my heart to see what it has become. The best people leave or are terminated. If you want to make a difference, you should go work someplace else.

Pros

Great benefits, free gym, free parking

Cons

Management is terrible, and the company is on a firing streak right now, so no one feels secure. The Human Resources hiring staff is all young girls with no real life experience, and they don't know what they're doing. They take way too long to hire and, by then, ideal candidates have taken jobs elsewhere. The company stresses an emphasis on culture, but the culture as described doesn't match the culture in the workplace. It's a tough industry right now, and the leadership isn't prepared for what's ahead. Many in leadership are simply people who've been at the company for a long time but are not equipped to really lead. Lots of people losing their jobs so not many feel secure right now. Unemployment is very low in Iowa so there are more secure opportunities out there.

Pros

Nice cafe (but overpriced), nice gym (but no time to use it), covered parking.

Cons

Big brother mentality and poor team leadership. The definition of micromanagement exists here. If you make a mistake and take ownership, you are still thrown under the bus and publicly called out in team meetings and emails in order make an example. Staff is oppressed and creative projects are only given to the same few. If you complain about it, things are 10 times worse. Huge turnover in the department since JW joined as a leader. Director once said publicly said her goal was to get rid of any "inherited" staff and to only have a team with those she hired. Staff with 5,10 and 15 years have been forced out and cannot speak the truth in exit interviews if they ever want to work in the field again. Culture is fearful and oppressed.
