Pros

- Small but mighty crew that is rapidly growing; you get the chance to work closely with and learn from an inspiring team full of (but not limited to) cell & molecular biology scientists, biomedical engineers, & process development specialists - The growth opportunities are unique & real. Management truly cares about professional development, and makes active steps to support your journey here - The mission and impact is incalculable. Being on the frontier of cell-cultivated food is exciting, and you will definitely see your work make a direct difference

Cons

Just like many startups at our stage, we're rapidly scaling and it comes with a new set of challenges. The scope of our mission requires a lot of creative thinking , collaboration, & dedication; you can expect the work to reflect this!

Pros

All our goals are so intellectually challenging that they push you to your limit. It never gets boring. The company is growing fast and clearly getting more hierarchical. With that said, crewmates on the R&D teams are never going to be shy about challenging/debating/inspiring each other, regardless of seniority. Decisions have to be made based on actual, dependable data. And we respect real results/progress. Lots of opportunities to make discoveries and learning new things independently or collaboratively. Most importantly, we have super talented colleagues who are all mission driven and truly hold this place together.

Cons

Did I mention tough goals? How tough? When you and your team gave your best and made real significant progress, then hear the business side say 'X team didn't hit their goal(s)', that kind of tough. My team are used to this now. But it is not for everyone. On the other hand, if you can handle this kind of toughness and want to push yourself, come join us.
