Pros

Stable job, company benefits, and learning how to run a business from sales, marketing, accounting, and budgeting.

Cons

Worked for multiple properties with Windsor Communities between 2017-2021 and had a great first few years contributing learning about sales, customer service, and had great relationships with the residents and staff. It wasn't until the new changes took place in 2020-2021 with the absurd 30% rent increases, being short staffed, having an active shooter at the property and was provided 0 emotional support, and every time a higher executive was in town it would trigger anxiety amongst my bosses and I can tell that these executives do not care for the employees only revenue. How much can they spike up renewals, increase costs, yet don't increase my pay for the amount of negative and angry residents I had to deal with on a daily basis. After several horrifying encounters with residents I finally quit and decided working remotely is the best option for personal development and mental health- which Windsor clearly stopped caring about.

Pros

Pay is consistent with other Class A Luxury Properties. Benefits are competitive with other large property management companies. Clothing allowance is a definite plus.

Cons

Very unprofessional work environment. Very political and sometimes hostile. You are encouraged to voice your opinions but if divisional level or higher disagree beware this is a slippery slope. Divisional and PMs are like puppets on a string changing directions constantly. The properties are considered Class A Luxury but do not compare to others who are considered comps. You will be baited with stories of a few employees who have been with the company 15 years or more. Beware. Those are few and far between. Don't let the pay fool you. 60 hours plus is the norm. Do the math the pay isn't worth the stress. I have worked for several property management companies and this is by far one of the worst experiences in my career. High stress and at times a very demoralizing environment.

Pros

I'm struggling to come up with anything at this point. If you like scanning and shredding documents until your head feels like it is going to explode, this job is for you. Never want to see your family because you don't get home until 6:45PM and work almost every weekend, again, this job is for you.

Cons

When I first joined Windsor, I was inspired. It seemed like a great work environment and the time and resources invested into employee training was impressive. As time went on, I realized this company was no better, if not worse than the companies I've worked at before. It's disappointing the amount of politics woven into our daily lives at work. If you're not willing to "play the game," you won't go far. Our job went from feeling proud to provide excellent customer service to menial tasks of which we aren't paid much to do. Not to mention the fact that we are expected to wear high heels - I'm not the only one who thinks this is extremely sexist. Long story short, I didn't want to go to work anymore and I knew nothing was going to change with upper management so I needed to make the change for myself.
