Pros
I can't think of any great reasons to work here really. The benefits are good compared to other industries, and average at best compared to other utilities.
Cons
1. Pervasive negative attitude in the workplace since WEC Acquisition. 2. Health benefits suck. 3. Managers are afraid to talk to other managers or parts of the company - closed door policy in many cases. The best way to describe it is that in some companies you can approach a member of executive staff or talk to other members of management. Here that is considered very taboo; everyone minds their own business, stays in their own little world, and if you don't like something you are expected to simply accept it. 4. The company is 'cheap' to its employees. 5. Salaries are average at best. 6. Overqualified employees including management are used to call customers on a weekly basis and hit quotas to ensure satisfaction.
