Pros
There are quite a few very knowledgable scientists around. Good seminars and communications with people from wistar or upenn. Whatever you are working on, there always people you can discuss good science in general.
Cons
The direction of the institute has problem. Outstanding program ( gene regulation ) is totally gone. Most of good PIs went to upenn or some where else. The support for basic science becomes much worse than before. Everything depends on translational research and who knows where it goes. upper level of management is bad. The reputation of this institute is going down.
