Wonderful people, incredible culture of learning and collaborating.
Cons
Never knew if funding was secure, management appeared to straight up lie many times about our situation. Lots of casual talk about frivolous spending from upper management while employees were being laid off.
-Open and honest communication with employees at all levels
-highly motivated staff with positive attitudes; able to pivot quickly onto new features and demands with little productivity loss
-Favorable work/life balance; highly focused on being productive during core hours, and no enforced or implied OT or weekends (purely optional for each employee)
-Fully remote
-Caring and understanding management
-excellent health care benefits and vesting options plan
Cons
-lack of focus on having a viable production schedule until late in the project
-financially unstable; multiple rounds of layoffs and a furlough negatively affected the project's momentum
