Beware new CEO

Pros

It used to be a prosperous company with talented people and great perks, work from home, casual dress, perk days off, week off at Christmas

Cons

New CEO was hired and phased out the old perks, created a toxic work environment which drove over 15 people to quit in her first few months (including employees who worked here for over a decade). Think very carefully before applying for a job here, the amount of openings on the website are not there because the company is growing its because they have to replace everyone who is quitting

Pros

The parking lot is nice and spacious. I never struggled to find a parking space. There is also a subway sandwich shop nearby, so lunch is affordable.

Cons

The office itself is unpleasant and has a musty smell. The managers are petty. The production process is inefficient. Upward mobility is either non-existent or unsustainable.

Pros

The location is convenient. Large office park.

Cons

Most co-workers are supportive but don't be fooled by the CEO’s chosen few. You can recognize them quickly. They are the ones continually reassuring the CEO that she is doing a great job, and at the CEO’s direction, they tell current staff in Company meetings that the people who left “weren’t wanted and needed to go anyway.” Openly disparaging employees who leave the Company isn’t discouraged, it's encouraged. Is this a workplace, or a cult? New CEO is abusive. Her inner circle management team will do anything to protect her. In just six months half the Company including long-term managers and employees who had been there for years are just running out the door. When those people left, it was a big red flag for me, but I wanted to give it a shot and make my own decision. They were right. I flew under the radar, but I couldn’t trust a team that publicly talks about prior employees who left the Company. Watching co-workers get treated poorly was horrible. It’s a cliquey, high-school environment that includes the chosen few and the 2nd group of employees who are just waiting for the new year to get out. Constantly monitoring hours, publicly berating present and past employees in meetings, dishonesty, backstabbing, tantrums, and yelling is the new norm. The pay is mediocre for most with “incentive pay” they will never see.
