Pros

sometimes its slow, but that's barely a pro. Management can be nice sometimes. freight is decent

Cons

Everything was chaos. Stocking meant random pallets and impossible time quotas, with little training. Cashiering was worse, understaffed and stressful. The registers are literally from the 1980s, they break down all the time, management doesn't know how to work them and have to rely on leads. Management cared about speed, not people. They also can be rude, condescending, and unforgiving, if you aren't stocking to the speed they expect. Also extremely annoying and predatory regarding Credit Cards.

Pros

My coworkers were super friendly, and the discount was pretty cool. The job wasn't hard, but they should really update the registers because they are so old.

Cons

Management was horrible, and one of them specifically picked on me as well as the cashier lead.

Pros

Not busy, customers Good, snacks in the break room

Cons

Management competes with each other ,sometimes on the same day, so it's hard to get clear instructions on what your goals are, I noticed a lot of undermining and overly critical feedback but no requisite training or coaching is provided even as a newbie. I'm disappointed by the lack of stability and the petty cliques and rivalry on a daily basis. I was told it's a good place to work but I experienced bullying and that's my takeaway ,just another drama filled retail job. I noticed a lot of micromanaging and nitpicking and a lot of refusal of the cashiers to work together. The long term workers do not want to help newbies succeed they are very self absorbed and too afraid to let newbies work and succeed there, they don't want to hire newbies they want to keep it small and controlled so they don't have to feel threatened. They don't make changes based on feedback ,and, if you need to speak to HR, the managers will make it very difficult for you by claiming they don't have time" Rigid in their approach to conflict resolution. It's a very insulated and unfriendly team. my last day I wasn't given notice, just got sent short vague text message without last paycheck . The team is not good at handling crowds especially during holiday season and honestly it's not even busy. Many Inexperienced teens running the registers who act entitled to promotions without the commensurate accomplishments time served experience or work ethic. Typical retail. They'll make it very hard for you to get ahead by blocking your access to required trainings. And "not giving you time to complete tasks at the beginning of the day that are required to be completed, so it looks like you just didn't get it done. Coworkers constantly will try to misdirect you if you're new so that you are not able to perform your job it's just sabotage, it's ruthless and it's not worth working here the pay isn't commensurate to other stores. They will yell at you to keep you afraid of speaking up then you become targeted and the " problem" when you do ask for help. If you set boundaries you will be "out". I needed extra time for health reasons and I wasn't even allowed to leave the register when I needed to address certain issues after the surgery and I got a call from a co-worker on my date of surgery asking me to cover it for her for 8 hours as if she didn't already know that I was going to be out. They do not care about your life issues you are just a number ,just an employee, you will not get ahead here if you come in as a temp.

Pros

I learned a lot from furniture, interior design, to trying new interesting food and wine, and eventually promoted to my first supervisor role and managing my colleagues.

Cons

It can be overwhelming - while I left with a couple hopefully life-long friends, it was a lot. Especially if you deal with poor, lazy management, poor, lazy coworkers, and once in a while very entitled customers.
