      Fun place to work with opportunity to learn lots

      Pros

      I worked at xtalks for more than two years. The culture is fun and young - work colleagues felt like family. Everyone got along well for a small company. If you are a new graduate or intern, the company is a good place to learn the ropes. Because it is a lean team, you learn a bit of everything when it comes to digital marketing. There is room to grow. The management is supportive of staff and successfully create a very social and fun atmosphere to work in.

      Cons

      Because the team was lean and a lot of time was spent day to day operations , I felt stagnant in my role.

      Cons

      - paid once a month - management work against real career development - little to no office resources - culture of lies to clients and to employees - consistently over promises and under delivers to clients - perception of company living day to day - management plays victimized role when approached about changes - majority of current employees complacent, no change in outlook - hiring practices are questionable - takes advantage of younger employees fresh out of school - no HR department, sexist and racist comments are rampant

      Pros

      People are friendly at first then feel like they are playing you. The company mislead me as an employee. I wish I had gone on glassdoor earlier. The reviews are accurate. It look like one review is from management. The rest is what I saw and experienced.

      Cons

      Anyone looking for a first job can find somewhere better. Or for anyone looking for a real career this place is poison. As a woman it was a wake up call. It is an old boy's club. It felt mismanaged with no real direction on projects. The salary was less than promised too.
