Pros

Starting pay at $10, once you sell a big expensive photo you would get 2% commission.. Which is worth it. Management was very knowledgeable and helpful at times....

Cons

The 2% commission is only worth it when you sell an expensive photo that is at least $1,500. Anything under than that, the commission is awful. It is basically only for specific types of customers. Very hard to sell a beautiful picture that is worth over $2,000 to anyone. You have a quota to meet every week. They compare you to other coworkers and push you down. I quit my full time job for this job because I love photography and they were going to promise me 30-40 hours AND be an assistant manager within 3 months. I was looking for advancement within the company right at the interview and they liked my enthusiasm and they said that I was the person that they were looking for because they needed someone to step in as the store manager was going to another store. But the other store was never opened and 6 months went by after I got hired... And I got laid off because the store closed because they weren't making enough money and blamed me for not selling and not making enough money for the store when there was 3 other employees in the store. DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS COMPANY.

Poor communication from head office

Pros

The opportunity to talk about photography with people and to make custom store displays.

Cons

Low store traffic paired with a commission-based pay structure created an ineffective working environment. This was exacerbated by a lack of communication from head office regarding new features and updates.
