I worked at Yelp full-time for more than a year

    Pros

First rate training & benefits, competitive pay, company culture.

    Cons

It's not company wide, but depending who's team you're on, some managers are OCD about KPI's and meetings; having 5 team meetings a day on a regular basis is excessive and robs valuable time away from the phone.

Thank you for letting us know how you've been feeling. We strive to make our employees feel valued with unique perks like fully-stocked kitchens and on-site baristas, but understand that there is always room to grow and learn from what our employees have to say. The last thing we want to is to make any one of our teammates feel like they are in an environment in which they can't speak up. If you feel like your concerns are not being heard, please email us at employeefeedback@yelp.com so that we can find a way to support you.

I worked at Yelp full-time for more than a year

    Pros

It's tough to fail at your job here because Yelp provides and continues to provide training, mentorship, and career guidance for advancement within the company. They have transparent salary bands, equal pay at each level regardless of gender/gender identification, great benefits and sales incentives. While some of the new grads probably take all of this for granted, I appreciated that managers were tasked to see their teams succeed and would invest their time to coach sales people to improve their skills and find their voice. The tools provided were top notch (using Salesforce tools). IT support was great and I noticed employees in other departments were very happy and passionate about their work. This was such a diverse place to work and I've made some lifelong friends there.

    Cons

Sales is incredibly demanding and high-paced. One could burn out quickly if not made for this type of job.
