Pros

You get to meet some interesting people. There's a 20 word minimum so I'll just keep going until this is filled.

Cons

Training: 8 days of training in estate agency and then expected to be able to do job. Training was advertised as ongoing and important to the company. Every further training request denied or ignored. Management: sexist- I have too many examples of this that would make this review less than anonymous. Uncooperative- one instance of a request for holiday not being replied to for 3 months. Secretive- a transfer to a different branch for cover was not mentioned to me until the night before when the branch I was going to knew for 2 weeks. Commissions: for the sale of a house: £25 no matter the price. For a successful let: £45 regardless of fees. For listing a house: £15 regardless of price. For referring conveyancing: £20 (never paid). For a successful mortgage referral: £50. Basic: £14,000. I have been undermined, made fun of and ridiculed in a supposed 'professional' environment without access to an HR department.

Pros

Colleagues are nice and friendly

Cons

Honestly everything unfortunately. Wish I could give zero stars. These are the reason I am leaving this company; - Extremely long hours, no work life balance, made to feel like work should be the only priority in your life nothing else, expected to work nearly all weekends or be flexible if they need you, - team will message on your days off or holidays to ask questions, if you call sick your made to feel like the worst person and managers will ignore you, - your spoken to like a child sometimes, - all management will go home early but your expected to stay until the last minute if not you will be told off, - no progression at all - salary is extremely low for the amount of work you do, it is not worth it at all, people who work shorter times and no weekends will earn more. Commissions structure is so bad, you do so much work and all the paperwork plus trying to fit in viewings and closing deals whilst doing the admin stuff too only to earn like £30-£40 sometimes. Not worth it - Managers will only offer higher salary once you give your notice in, they have such a high staff turnover that they dont care - your expected to answer all calls that come through, it is literally like a call centre and you don’t get time to do anything else. If you don’t answer a call, you’ll be told infront of everyone - extremely micro managed, even your diary is managed by your manager and yoh don’t get any free will. You cannot take a breather from your desk for a minute. Only your lunch you have to yourself - managers ask you to deal with complaints when that should not be your job, lettings negotiator should only deal with tenants and not landlords too. Landlords end up complaining which we are expected to deal with it’s ridiculous. - in averages including commission your earning around £10 an hour as the salary is around £17k-£19k and commission is not much at all so you are basically working like crazy to earn £21-23k. I would say look for a different company and don’t waste your time. Or if you are just looking to start up come and leave within few months.

Pros

none nice staff good location varied work

Cons

biggest 2 faced company you could ever work for don't touch this company with a barge pole. I slaved away for 4 months and was told to pack my stuff up and leave within 15 mins due to unattainable targets. I then found out they were doing away with my job role for a letting negotiator at half the price, total liars. They are rotten to the core. example i was handed a canon sir camera with no training and told too take photos off a property. A tenant called crying saying their house full mould and had a 1 years child who's cot was covered in mould the management fobbed them off, and other staff members from the property management centre were very rude too tenant, enough said!
