Pros

There's little pros to it other than having a slightly higher salary than most other retail jobs.

Cons

1. They might rotate your location according to what they want and only tell you last minute. 2. Horrible working environment. You can't have your phone with you, if spotted, eg. Your phone in your pocket. It will be confiscated. 3. The managers there have shouted at part timers before. Several times too. 4. No respect of your time. They will ask you(slightly force) you to come earlier for work("please come at 10am instead of 12pm") or ask you to come work on your off day. And they will forced you home when they don't need you. They made me work 7 hours straight with no breaks because they made me come work earlier and my break time stayed the same. I was starving and 30 mins after my break time, they told me to go home cause another part timer promised they could come in. 5. The managers does not have understanding for the part timers. You could have a huge emergency at home and they will expect you to provide an mc no matter what. Note, I have to pay 40 every doctor consultation so this is quite an amount for me. Once, a part timer couldn't come cause she had serious period cramps and they demanded that she provide an mc. Ridiculous.

Pros

The trick to work in Zara Singapore....As long as you know how to please her.. You can be promoted.

Cons

Only those who good in boot licking will be promoted very fast.. Be it manager or even staffs... Doesn't matter if you work and serve long for the company.. When you don't join the rest to please the boss, you are invisible to them.. Even you don't have any image, don't even know how to speak simple English, as long as you 'angkat'... Confirm promote.

Pros

the free water refill in the pantry?

Cons

1. the job 2. the environment 3. the pressure 4. the training 5. the higher ups This job will really test your patience. Not only will you have to bear with your supervisors and manager, you also have to bear with the unreasonable expectations of the management (can’t blame customers since we are always lacks of staff or lack of experienced staff. So if any zara customers are reading this, please try to understand how exhausting it is to do everything at once while still have to put on a smile for customer service). The store always expect their part timers to learn most things themself or magically become knowledgeable about things. The pay is higher than usual retail jobs, BUT, at what cost? I’ve been working for quite a reasonable amount of time to see the different people working there and i would say, this job will really change your attitude in life. You will start hating everything around you (sadly, including yourself) for having to work here because of its high paying part timer rate. Everyday i go to work happy and come out stressed and depressed about life but no choice since living in Singapore as a lower income family, i have to earn more to feed myself. Some will say the higher ups are also stressed about working there but we’re both working to be able to live a comfortable life so why do you have to make it hard for others to do the same.
