Company solution to balance sheet problems is using redundancy

Pros

Excellent product, still the best at what it does with excellent roadmap and development. Party culture (which may also explain the company's cashflow problems) and competitive remuneration (assuming you don't get made redundant 3 months after starting work, which happened to two of my ex-colleagues).

Cons

Three rounds of redundancy in as many years, it seems the company's only solution to balance sheet issues is mass redundancy. HR only seemingly exists to deliver bad news to employees, communication of personnel matters is slow and unhelpful and I have to communicate with the commissions team myself to settle outstanding commissions even after being laid off. Internal corporate communications are rah-rah and paint an excellent positive outlook with respect and investment in employees but corporate management behavior is the exact opposite, treating people as mere numbers and cutting off whole country teams leaving partners and customers with nobody to turn to.

Pros

1) The years I was at Zerto, the market space/demand and brand awareness has improved a lot. 2) SKO in another country. 3) They finally rolled out a sales process, MEDPICC and Command of Message.

Cons

1) The technology message is cool - but the company keeps adding new features before current ones are really baked. For example: Vmware works great. But HyperV and AWS I would never sell - it doesn't work! Azure is better but not at scale. They need to fix the current features before they go on this hot-to-trot trail for backup. 2) Management is a joke and they are still struggling with scaling. The new CRO is bringing in the "old boys club" and old-school mentality that plays favorites and bullies people. Lots of unhappy people and churn. 3) Speaking of the churn, it is unreal. There are only a handful of reps that have been there over 18 months - literally! Zerto doesn't value their employee's so if you quit, you quit. Or you're just fired. Moral of it - anyone is replaceable. 4) Zerto should have sold at the end of 2016. Growth has slowed way down and other technologies, such as Rubrik, Veeam or Cohesity, are good enough. Zerto missed their mark. 5) Pay is very low compared to other companies in the industry. 6) I've heard multiple sexual harassment suits with females and their managers. 7) Communication is terrible to the field. There isn't even an all-sales team call!!
