Pros

Decent Career growth for self learners with decent communication skills. It's a consulting company. Career growth is good (but, only because they can bill client more for higher designations). So it's easier to get promoted to SDE2 or SSE here for people that have 0 - 2 years of experience. Good client projects. If anything is positive about working at this company, it is because of the client projects. Client projects have very good scale so you can learn a lot. As an SDE, you also get to also work on DevOps so you'll get a bird's eye view of how web applications are built, tested, deployed and monitored using modern tech stack. You would probably enjoy working here 1) If you're a workaholic. 2) If you love working from Office. 3) If you truly enjoy work and, like to go above and beyond for the company, without expecting any additional reward/compensation and would be okay with just appreciation and recognition. 4) If you don't get disappointed when you don't see any additional reward for working more hours and/or taking many interviews. 5) If you love mentoring people but be okay with not having mentors. 6) If you're a self learner and when you have a doubt regarding anything technical, you would be okay with not having anyone technically sound and experienced to reach out to within the company. Otherwise you'd probably be better off joining some decent product based company. One Good thing about ZopSmart is, the notice period is 30 days, so you can quit in a month (which you definitely will in future, because ZopSmart is not a company you would want to stay around for more than a year)

Cons

Lot of fake 4* and 5* reviews here to inflate positive reviews. You should always talk to a mix of former and current employees before making a decision. Unless you personally know them, most current employees will say there's nothing wrong with ZopSmart. Management is not focused at all, no planning and vision. Salary hikes are very bad for existing employees. No 1-on-1 meetings with Managers as there are only 5 or 6 managers for 400 - 450 employees. Unless the client complains about you, you have only one or two 1-1 meetings (appraisal meetings) with manager in a year. Managers don't take ownership of employee's growth (compensation, career progression), yet they ask employees to own the company's growth and force employees to work on both client and internal projects (without client's knowledge so you have to be accountable and finish client's work for the day outside working hours) To be fair, the managers can't own employee's growth even if they want to, as there are too many employees that report to each manager. The org structure is poorly designed, and it reflects the poor execution of the leaders while scaling the company. People are forced to come to office citing freshers training can only happen in office. Management plays mind games and politics like saying "Employees are not required to come to office" in all hands meet yet they also say "people seem to have more career growth when they come to office" and some managers will force their teams to come to office unofficially citing some stupid reason even though in the All hands call, they say work from office is not mandatory. No additional pay for additional work. No work life balance. Inexperienced Senior & Lead engineers. Too many freshers are hired every year but no proper training given to them due to which the peer quality is very low here. Unusual working hours as client is US based. Most of the days, employees have to work late and have late meetings with the client, yet, again in mornings ZopSmart schedules interviews. So working hours tend to extend a lot. For most people, working hours are - 11:00 AM to 9 PM most days and on Some days 9:30 AM to 9 PM due to interviews. Attrition is very high. Every month, at least one team member leaves, and across the company, everyday someone or other leaves. Instead of fixing attrition, some managers force employees to take more and more interviews and some times, even on weekends but no comp-off or additional pay is given to employees for working on weekends. Employees have to join multiple Standup (Internal and Client) in a day, fill multiple trackers/time sheets. Some people working on Client projects full-time are also forced to work on ZopSmart internal projects (Without client's knowledge) and forced to contribute to hiring everyday (again without client's knowledge). This puts the employee in an awkward position as during the client stand-up, the employee can't tell client that they contributed to Hiring for ZopSmart or ZopSmart internal projects as we are being billed to the client as a full-time contractor. Hiring unless incentivised, is voluntary work. When employee says they are busy or unavailable to take an interview during the slot requested by the candidate, hiring managers tag people in a public group asking them to take the interviews in that specified slot as requested by the HR/candidate. HR department only exists for salary and medical insurance related work. They are not easily reachable for giving feedback on the work culture. Only join here if you're desperate for a job or if you don't have any other option and just want a job to learn via work. Employees only get hike when they join, after that, hikes are very low and no bonus or incentive for additional work and for taking many interviews.

Pros

Nothing, Nil, None.... Whatever pros u see about this company is a Lie.

Cons

"Making better tech products everyday".....By making employee life hell Literally one of the most unprofessional, Incompetent organisation you can every encounter in you life. Too much micromanagement, I still don't understand why there is one on one meetings every week , just to put pressure on employees. At the end of the day, you are not even going to get what you deserved. No, senior members are left in the organisation they have a simple idea, just hire interns in bulk and chain them up for 1.5 years in a bond . In six months of training they will give you hardly 1-1.5 months training and even a very important topic like github they will teach you in 2 hours and expect to become master in that in literally no time. The higher management has no respect for thier employees. "NO WFH" policy even though you tell there is an family emergency or someone is dying they are not going to agree for WFH. Those who please to much to the manager might get it other wise just forget it. This company has no goal, no Future....they know, anyways if employees are leaving they are not going to stop you but they will again hire an intern put them in a bond and make them work like hell. No proper hygine in office enviroment, No proper canteen, Nothing as such as indoor sport (except carrom) .

Pros

Nothing, full of cons only...

Cons

-> Worst leads and engineering managers especially in the Golang tech team. -> It's like a school/college where the manager will look at your time in the office rather than the work. -> No flexibility it's compulsory to come to the office every day. -> It's a service based company where you have to work for the client but still, you have to come to the office to do the same things and all meetings are online, also there is no interaction with other teams which doesn't make sense to come to the office daily. Also, there is partiality in this, those who follow every order from the manager will get flexibility for working from home. -> You have to give your daily updates 2-3 times a day in different places. which is frustrating. -> They have an internal portal to track your days in the office based on that they will give you the appraisal rather than work, also they will not recognize your feedback from clients. -> If they are paying you a high amount initially then it's a trap because after that you will get no appraisal. -> Every month 5-10 employees are leaving this company and most of them are in the pipeline. -> No growth in your carrier only the year of experience will increase. -> They are charging much more from clients and paying very less to developers. -> Manager doesn't have a proper manager they will abuse others in the middle of a meeting or in front of others. Also, they are using offensive work for clients. -> Client also getting away to hire developers from here due to this behavior, rather than they are looking for other partners.
