Pros
For having just graduated from college with a degree in the field, it was an outright decent place to work to gain SOME minimal experience, in the field outside of school. But unfortunately, that was really the only good, work related thing that zther had to offer. They did, however, have these items to offer: A foosball table that you can play 1-2 times per day. Call of Duty breaks at 3:00pm every day which lasted 1 round. Coffee Machine with all the types of coffee, creamer, sugars, etc you can think of. Every single type and sub-type of candy you can think of that is sold in bulk at Costco. Energy drinks.. If they make them, zther has them.
Cons
Based on my personal experience with zther, I found that they lack the ability to be honest. Middle management make promises that upper management / business owners don't care to keep or follow through with. Middle management also takes credit for work that they either did not do, or had very little involvement with. But yet, they are quick to place blame on those who were either following their orders, or had no part in it. Promotions were not given based on work performance, experience, and/or general qualifications. They were, instead, given based on their personal friendship status. At zther, you are limited in growth, despite the fact that zther is in an ever growing and expanding industry. The actual work itself at zther was also an issue. There was an overload of work given, not nearly enough time to complete it, and an expectation to spend all your personal time to do the work with no form of compensation other than pizzas, coke, and skittles. In addition to that, there was no freedom to do the work in any way other than what the manager wanted. Which most of the time was an issue because management would say do it your way, but would come back when its done and say to do it another way. There was no organization, little communication, and poor instruction on how they wanted things done. Micromanagement was probably the number 1 problem at zther. It would cause several underlying problems that postpone production, which would then get blamed on the ones that actually did the work. Having said all that, the one thing that everything came down to is money. Their salary based pay was far below industry standards, and unfortunately, if they paid their employees more money like they deserve, a lot of the problems listed above could be dealt with due to being compensated fairly. The amount of overtime that zther expects out of their employees, the amount of stress that management causes, and the micromanagement are all definitely not worth the small amount of money that they are willing to pay.
