Pros

I really appreciate the company’s culture — even in a remote setup, it encourages employees to connect and collaborate, which helps build great camaraderie. The managers are also very supportive, and I’ve been fortunate to work with amazing seniors and leaders.

Cons

Layoffs can happen in any company, even in Zywave, and while they’re never easy, they’re often decisions made with the long-term health and growth of the company in mind.

Pros

Mostly good people in middle management and below

Cons

Used to be a great place to work. As of 2024, they won't hesitate to outsource your role to the Philippines if they can save a dollar, doesn't matter how good you are at your job. Massive layoffs are an annual holiday tradition. As others mentioned, they'll even do it over a prerecorded Teams call. The CEO made a ton of bad decisions that led to the layoffs, but of course, he won't take any less salary to save people's jobs. Was his idea to spend a ton of money on his silly "Zyfest" a couple summers ago, so that he could be in some unfunny sketches that everyone is forced to watch. Oh also, they have not really been promoting people for the past year at least, so don't go there if you're looking to advance your career.

Pros

Flexible Work Environment (ie. Remote) Unless you live in a Milwaukee zip-code, then you are "required" to go in for "culture"

Cons

1. Two large layoffs in 12 months 2. One of the layoffs was given a fun project name 3. They are hiring people now, but not re-hiring the folks that were laid off 4. Employees that "made the cut" were given responsibilities they aren't even qualified for with NO pay raise, NO title change and NO training 5. Toxic meeting culture 6. Gossipy 7. Inadequate compensation; base salary and comp plans 8. Limited growth opportunities 9. Strategic reviews (listing sometimes meets or doesn't always meet expectations) - Classic tactic to have an excuse to lay people off later I literally want to cry nearly every day working here. The mental health load has been nearly unbearable. Do yourself a favor and stay away!
