Pros

A few good people but not many

Cons

Senior management are useless and are in desperate need of a shake up. If you are not in the favoured group you may as well not bother in trying to get any career advancement. Treatment of staff is so poor.

Pros

Some good people, but not on the board

Cons

The CEO and MD of Wiltshire Farm Food don’t get care who they step on to get what they want, utterly clueless how to treat people. The culture is toxic and they bully hard working people. Avoid working here.

Pros

Passionate and motivated co-workers who are a pleasure to work with. Good career opportunities if you know the right people. A fair wage on first employment. Company Bonus. Generally flexible about working from home. Do good work in being a sustainable company.

Cons

Lots of employees have left apetito recently for many reasons. - Many staff have been overworked to the point of burnout, the company is very cash-rich but refuses to invest in expanding team numbers despite record profits and dwindling staff numbers. When i raised this to a Board member, his response was "well you could be on furlough". I have also heard this from other employees who had the same response from other Exec board members. - Loyalty isnt rewarded- you will see that the Job you are applying for likely doesnt have a salary listed. This is because if you are joining the company you are in luck! You will likely be earning more than the rest of your team. Once you are in they have a cap on how much extra you can earn if you get a promotion which is extremely unfair to hardworking loyal employees - my advice is to work for 2 - 3 years and leave. - My mental health was seriously affected in my last year of working for apetito - long and intense weeks with frequent weekend work which i felt i had no choice over. They also have no proper employee support programs in place and the responsibility of employee care is left to managers who have no training on this (whom i generally feel sorry for). They take advantage of the fact that employees are passionate professionals who want to succeed.
