Lots of employees have left apetito recently for many reasons.
- Many staff have been overworked to the point of burnout, the company is very cash-rich but refuses to invest in expanding team numbers despite record profits and dwindling staff numbers. When i raised this to a Board member, his response was "well you could be on furlough". I have also heard this from other employees who had the same response from other Exec board members.
- Loyalty isnt rewarded- you will see that the Job you are applying for likely doesnt have a salary listed. This is because if you are joining the company you are in luck! You will likely be earning more than the rest of your team. Once you are in they have a cap on how much extra you can earn if you get a promotion which is extremely unfair to hardworking loyal employees - my advice is to work for 2 - 3 years and leave.
- My mental health was seriously affected in my last year of working for apetito - long and intense weeks with frequent weekend work which i felt i had no choice over. They also have no proper employee support programs in place and the responsibility of employee care is left to managers who have no training on this (whom i generally feel sorry for). They take advantage of the fact that employees are passionate professionals who want to succeed.
