Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We're glad to hear you valued the learning opportunities at commercetools, whether through Coursera, Babbel, or our leadership development programs — it’s something we put a lot of effort into.
Regarding the virtual shares, we understand how this could be disappointing. The virtual share program was introduced less than a year before the layoff, which meant that no shares had vested yet due to the one-year cliff. While the timing was unfortunate, we designed the program with industry-standard vesting schedules to ensure long-term alignment with employees' contributions.
We also appreciate your feedback on communication. Since our new Chief People Officer joined, we’ve prioritized transparency and introduced new ways to keep everyone informed, including a dedicated People Team newsletter and enhanced communication channels. We’re always working to foster open, clear conversations and appreciate your feedback as we continue to improve.
