It used to be such a great company

Pros

Used to be a great company with amazing smart people, a wonderful leadership team who cares for its people and culture. Everyone on APAC leadership team gave their heart and soul to keep the ship together, hiring the best talent in the market, growing double revenue all under the strong leadership of a remote based MD who was appointed to take over the region. Amer and EMEA used to be top revenue contributors as well.

Cons

Sadly, cracks began showing at the leadership team losing focus and directions, coupled with an exodus of talent leaving, toxicity culture started breeding. No longer hearing people’s voices, employees started to live in fear and low morality.

Pros

It used to be good

Cons

Chief Product Officer does not have a clue about the mobile app industry. Chief People Officer does not understand respect and empathy. See his denial in one of his replies below "we're not bleeding top talent". Just ask anyone else other than the CPO. Interim Chief Revenue Officer is someone who screws everyone up, does not know anything about the industry, never sold a deal. Great at reporting upwards though. One man's ego keeping all this C-level team around and bringing down the entire company. App Annie was once the best. Now it's just sad.

The Chief Legal Officer, Chief Finance Officer, and Chief of Staff are slightly offended that they have not been mentioned in your post. :-) Chief People Officer

Pros

App Annie, which rebranded into data.ai and was subsequently sold to the supposedly crap competitor SensorTower, was an amazing place to work. Brilliant people, great investors, top clients, and all of us got stock options, the stage was set for a happy ending.

Cons

Enter new leadership. Even amongst useless, egomaniacal leaders (of which there are many), Our new leaders stood out for zero clue of how to take the company forward. Ousting the original brilliant, and putting in place talentless sycophants and yes men/women, we proceeded to not only fail to maintain the growth trajectory and utilise resources effectively, but our leader also managed to cause us all to lose money by not selling the company on the many occasions he could have. A sad sad end to what should have been a story of success. Farewell App Annie 2014-2020, you will always be the best company I worked for.
