Pros

Some of the highest salaries in the UAE with great benefits like education for unlimited children to certain levels (are they capping that? I remember something about that). Gym at the office with personal trainers (if you ever get the time). Some nice and smart people. You get to make excellent connections and learn new things as the budgets are very high. Nice end of year bonuses. Long hours of work are the norm - although flexible hours are advertised.

Cons

High level of stress Company is fairly new and processes for work are still not mature, you end up going in loops. Emiratization is very actively strong and that means sometimes those who are less qualified get promoted and the those who work hard stay where they are. Also Wasta and relationships. Unstable - almost annual restructures and terminating employees and higher management is not uncommon with no transparent reasons. Politics exist everywhere, but here it was complicated and lots going on under the table. Very cliquey culture running from higher management to lower levels. Too damn many VP's and EVP's and CXO's! It's like half of the company holds a VP position.

Pros

Flexible punch in/out working hours with most of the time punch in/out system not working. Du staff rebate plan 25 gb free with du to du free calls with no security of copying official content to personal emails. WhatsApp is official channel of communication with several groups of same team members and no results at the end (only talks)

Cons

Must stick to initial offer and not change after candidate agrees to sign contract. VP/Director level must communicate with Managers directly instead of approaching staff working under managers whenever a conflict arises. HRBP team must be with staff and not be pressurized by director level and up operations team for deciding fate of any staff. Too many hierarchy, EVP/VP/Sr Director/Director/Sr Manager/Manager etc EVP no one sees or hears, VP is busy with gossips and rumors, Directors busy showing off and implementing unethical ways to achieve target, Managers are just coordinators. 90% of existing staff redundant and recycled except for Director level and above or if your relative/friend is working in CEO Office. Staff are laid off to recruit them back again on lower grades and salaries. No carry forward of annual leaves. Extra working hours with no work life balance. No support or induction for new joiners and they need to learn the process by trial/error. Every single matter is taken personally instead of dealing with it professionally. No KPIS for staff. No ISO certification. Recently employed Managers are given a salary of 16925 only. No office extension available. Focus is on pulling each other down instead of growing together. Management not true to company values except for Surprising wherein they will surprisingly lay you off with no solid reason and try to recycle. Groups in WhatsApp are created to show off and not to support or share anything professional that is concerns or situations. Meetings are held to threaten with no sharing of ideas or road map towards overall success.
