There are many cons to working at ePlus, but I will focus on three of them:
1. Backwards policies
2. Incompetent CIO
3. Very low pay
I'll elaborate a bit on each, though there is a lot to write about each of these points.
1. Backwards policies : While many companies are looking to modernize, ePlus is looking to go back to the era right after the dot-com bubble. Instead of enhancing employee work life balance, they are working hard to make the employees miserable. Demanding employees not work from home or risk losing their job if they do ask to work from home more than a couple days a month. Closely monitoring employee's every move. Asking the same question multiple times to ensure the employee is not "lying". These are all examples of how this company, specially the IT department has adopted backwards policies.
2. Incompetent CIO : The new CIO of this company is highly incompetent. His understanding of the IT field is very limited and almost non-existent. This is to the point that you see him nervous and sweating excessively in meetings because he knows he doesn't know what he's talking about. Yet, he demands everyone listen to his meaningless statements which he knows are so boring and useless that he demands employees not bring any laptops to meetings. His only focus is increasing outsourcing to cut costs. He asks employees to share their feedback about ePlus with him, but retaliates when any negative facts are shared with him. All in all, he's very immature and incompetent.
3. Very low pay : ePlus pays very low compared to other companies in the area. For some reason they think they are in the era after the dot-com bubble and they get to demand work while paying little. ePlus pays at least 20% less the current average pay.
There are many more cons to working at ePlus. Reading the other reviews it seems that at least half of the positive reviews are fake. For example, look at the review made on "Mar 27, 2019". At the top it reads "I have been working at ePlus full-time for more than a year", but then the "Cons" section reads "After 3 weeks I haven't found any". Anyhow, if you don't trust all the negative reviews, by all means, start working at ePlus, it won't take you long to see what's going on.
