Nearly everything else.
geoAMPS has many problems, but it all starts with the leadership. The COO doesn't get into the office until 1 and leaves around 3-4. Fun fact, she didn't like the Glassdoor reviews we were receiving so she attempted to call into Glassdoor and have them removed. Not quite how this works!
The CEO actually does do quite a bit of work, and is often quite friendly but you can't really trust him. He lies to his employees as easily as he lies to clients (and potential clients). The amount of times he's told a client that we had something done when it wasn't, is laughable. When that happens, it always means that employees are forced to work ridiculous hours and of course there is no overtime or other compensation. Too many days I get stuck staying late just to make up for other peoples mistakes.
The product itself is in serious jeopardy. It is getting very outdated and isn't manageable. More resources need put being a new, next gen version but management doesn't put a priority on this.
Pay is abysmal at best and if you get put on commission, make sure you have everything in writing. Support does not get commission though they are encouraged to up-sell and actually get additional work out of clients. Marketing is responsible for gathering leads but gets no commissions from ones that result in sales. Probably a reason nearly every single employee who joined the sales team ended up quitting.
Pay in general is definitely on the low end with the excuse being "we are a startup" or "you can buy stock options". They are no longer a startup and the "stock options" are effectively worthless.
No one is entirely sure of titles, but we apparently have a second COO. Its very hard to work under him and he is quick to cast blame and never takes ownership of anything except positive situations.
In the past year or two, the company has experienced massive layoffs as well as a lot of others leaving on their own accord. Almost no raises other then small cost of living increases for remaining employees. They've been instead hiring more people in their India development center where they can hire many people for the cost of one here. They also don't disclose this to clients. Instead leading them on to believe all work is done here in the US.
Despite all these issues, they continue to win "awards", but they are almost entirely fictional. Like winning healthiest employer. They say they provide free fruit! But that is basically a bag of the cheapest apples once every couple months. There is the an "exercise" room which just has a bunch of mirrors and someones leftover weights. The HR company also technically offers discounts on gym memberships, but they are a national HR company and the gyms they support aren't actually in Ohio. Yet they can claim these things, which to be fair they are true, but don't actually make them a healthy employer. But they highlight them like crazy across social media.
In short, the company isn't going anywhere. They are dishonest, manipulative, and don't care about their employees. No matter what they say to the contrary, their overall actions show the truth.
