Pros

Not worth the pay unless really desperate

Cons

Current ED created a hierarchical structure with many layers of upper management, middle management, group leaders, team leaders. Where feedback from lower levels is filtered via broken telephone through the levels and either deflected or ignored along the way. ED claims to be open to feedback--but only if it's in line with his own agenda. There is no transparency and decisions are made from the top without any satisfactory explanation to lower levels. ED is manipulative and any disagreement or suggestions for change will result in your life being made more difficult until you finally leave. Beware of tasks/roles assigned by ED and upper management-- you may be set up for failure and left to take the fall even if what you did was previously 'approved' by upper management. You need to watch your back here.

Pros

None at the moment. Imre was once a great place to work, it is sad to see where we are now.

Cons

When I first joined Imre, it was a beacon of innovation and employee well-being. However, the culture has undergone a dramatic shift for the worse under new leadership. Toxic Leadership: The new leaders are insecure and seem threatened by employees who are smarter or more productive than them. This insecurity has led to a rash of dismissals, targeting employees who have devoted themselves entirely to the betterment of the company. False Perks: During interviews, candidates are told of perks like unlimited PTO. However, the reality is different. The expectation is that you work late into the night and during weekends. When requests for additional help or resources are made, they're met with a hard 'no.' Arbitrary Promotions: Employees are told that promotions happen once or twice a year. However, it appears to be a system favoring 'teacher's pets' who get promoted outside of these windows. This is both unfair and demoralizing for those who genuinely hustle. Outdated Strategies: The management approach seems stuck in methodologies that were effective a decade ago. This refusal to evolve harms the quality of client work and makes the company less competitive. Business Deception: Freelancers are hired for new business pitches to present a façade of competency. Once the business is won, the work is handed off to junior staff or less expensive freelancers, compromising quality. Final Word: If you are someone who questions the status quo or is looking for a fair work environment, this is not the place for you. To survive here, you need to become a 'yes-person' and engage in constant public praise on internal communication channels like Slack

Echoing other recent reviews, it really is that bad here

Pros

Those at the worker bee level (as mentioned in another post) truly are the best

Cons

After a recent and spectacularly tone deaf town hall meeting, it’s come to my attention that you have to have the following skills to survive this place: Eagerness to work both first and second shift because our president expects it from everyone Acceptance of nepotism/favoritism by the president and promotions for close personal friends despite a history of HR complaints Total alignment to the company’s decision to staff with only a skeleton crew Ability to see past recent layoffs in order to fund salaries for more people at the executive level An understanding that leaderships only solution to all the problems is to rebrand and run away from the bad reputation of the current name Otherwise if you are a sane and logical person you’re going to have a bad time here.
