Pros

a very good location, smart academic scientists

Cons

little culture, very academic environment (in many bad ways), little advancement opportunities, days of talking that drives anyone mad, no plan for success, very menial uninteresting work (they will treat you as a cashier in the store or a monkey slave technician) and a very shiny banner, you will feel relieved flushing it down. If you don't like it, apparently you need to pay them to leave.

Free lunch is there, coffee barista and insurance. Benefits is good.

Cons

5 and a half years company as of today. Took 750 million from investors. 250 people employees. No pipeline, platform, compounds, or product to be seen..... Titanic.

Pros

Nice office, coffee, food, facilities. Good commute options with the Genentech bus

Cons

Lack of focus and direction. Trying to do too many things. Slow for start up. Below average pay for the bay area. Toxic management. Seeing too many people leaving meetings crying. Poor benefits.
