Pros

-Free friday lunch once a month (don't get fooled into thinking they are once a week as replies from reviews state)

Cons

I had a deeply disappointing experience working at this company, marked by a glaring lack of work-life balance and a corporate culture steeped in toxicity. The management team, regrettably, seems to operate with considerably inflated egos, creating an environment where genuine feedback and constructive criticism go unacknowledged. This high-handed attitude is not just confined to internal operations but is visibly extended to their public persona as well, particularly noticeable in their defensive and dismissive replies to reviews on Glassdoor. Additionally, the company severely lacks in providing meaningful career development opportunities, stunting professional growth and making the overall experience demotivating.

We have checked the historical payroll and we do not have an employee who left with this final job title with the corresponding employment duration. Nevertheless, we respond as follows: If you had been at Itarle for three / four years you will know that this is simply not the case. For example you will have witnessed - Annual pay rises in excess of UK RPI. - Annual bonus. - Company lunches and nights out. - Extended paid travel working experiences (typically between London and Hong Kong). - Postgraduate study offers. - Sponsorship of an employee professional racing driver for two seasons (with a team day at Brands Hatch). - Skilled worker visa sponsorship in UK, Hong Kong and USA (from 2024). - Itarle sponsorship prizes for best University students (MPhil / PhD). - Career progression with opportunities for regular short and long haul travel. Regarding the word 'toxic / toxicity', this is a much overused word. Just because you disagree with something, or a decision, does not mean the other view is automatically toxic. Glassdoor allows anonymous employees to give their point of view with no regard to the reasonability of the employee claims. Naturally, Itarle will reply accordingly when they consider the claims misguided. Indeed we have recently welcomed back a senior Itarle employee. This would not be the case if everyone shared your point of view.

Pros

-decent experience for fintech , algo trading industry but at what cost….

Cons

-depressing, management and culture takes a toll on mental health -one of those bosses where it’s a headache to ask for annual leave -biggest red flag is that company follows statutory holidays (janitors, maids, labourers) instead of general holidays like every office job in central -unpaid sick leaves and no medical, boss gives you get attitude for calling in sick. -the company is run by one person, So rules and guidelines are just created on a whim and implemented. You can imagine what it is like to work under a dictatorship -there are little no experience hires, just desperate graduates trying to get experience -don’t bother trying to voice your opinion -you have to care about every little thing on how the boss wants things done, it’s such a headache. -no flexibility or freedom in the way you do things, make you not want to come in -no job stability as he thinks firing people every year is industry standard. -runs the place like depressing ibank when the benefits and salaries aren’t there, its just tiny tech company, get a grip on your expectations.
