Pros

- Friendly people - Start-up energy & openness to new ideas

Cons

- It was amatuer hour on the tech side. All the most experienced people move on to better opportunities quickly, because people don't tolerate the nonsense when they know what a well-run tech organization looks like. - Sales people sell the wrong thing, or things that don't exist (too often with the support of tech managers), forcing tech teams to hack together poorly conceived deliverables in unreasonable timelines. - Managers use the "but we're a start-up" excuse to pressure people into working long hours to cover for their planning failures. I saw this happen especially to junior people who don't have the experience or confidence to push back, and the smartest ones left for better treatment.

Amateur hour in tech

Cons

The tech side of the company felt amateurish, code pushed without thorough testing and their reluctance to update their codebase (they were still using python 2.7). Tech managers do not listen to their engineers on design and end up hacking together poorly built solutions and product managers have more say in the technical decisions than engineers. Sales and account management don't know what they're selling to their clients and will blindly say yes to anything. It felt like the engineering managers were more focused on keeping sales and account management happy rather helping their own engineers grow, so all the experienced engineers left.

remote work environment, a few good team members, decent benefits.

Cons

- The Leadership and Management of mPulse is fully delusional and makes knee jerk decisions with no strategic plan actually have a positive outcome. Complete lack of direction. - Mental health is not a priority so if you like your sanity, don't work here. Too much is demanded of employees and not enough support. - It's a popularity contest here. You get in good graces with leadership by sucking it up and doing what your told. - Lack of diversity across the company - Constant production issues caused by lack of platform maintenance.
