The Economy Minister, Pedro Siza Vieira, highlighted the importance of software development centres such as Critical TechWorks, also stating that we are going to "export engineering, software and software applications, which could make the Portuguese economy more exporting in sectors of more value-added."
BMW wants to be the number one mobility service and is transitioning from a mechanical engineering company to a software engineering company. It is a brutal transformation that does not happen in any other industry. People want an experience of using and interacting with mobility services, and companies need to ensure, at some scale, the capacity to respond to these challenges.
