We had the pleasure of hosting four talented students as part of our summer scheme placement across our Edinburgh and Glasgow offices. From shadowing our lawyers to learning about networking and how to make a successful trainee application, the students were able to get a taste of life at a global law firm. Last night we were delighted to host the Link: LGBTQ+ Insurance Network summer party at our London office for the 10th year! An amazing amount of money was raised for Diversity Role Models to support the important work they do to try and create inclusive learning environments for young people, where they are valued and supported regardless of their differences. We are pleased to announce further senior appointments across the firm, with 97 colleagues taking on new roles. 46 senior associates have progressed to legal director – known as ‘of counsel’ or ‘special counsel’ in some countries - with another 51 lawyers promoted to senior associate. This week we hosted our final mock mediation of the Evolve with Kennedys programme in London. Swapping desks for gardening gear! Over 100 colleagues from our UK healthcare team recently enjoyed a day of volunteering and team building at two Groundwork Northants projects. As part of their annual community day, the team got stuck in on tasks that included rejuvenating the bee garden, rebuilding the duck pond, and clearing scrub.
