Meet Nolberto Herrera, the lead shop mechanic at Southgate, CA! He has been with Quality Repair Solutions (QRS) for the past two years and brings nearly a decade of hands-on experience to the job. Before joining QRS, Nolberto focused on engine work, but a conversation with his brother-in-law changed everything. Nolberto shares, “My brother-in-law told me about this job, so I came over here. I like this job. Much simpler than working with engines.” Since making the switch, he’s found a smoother rhythm in his work and a team he enjoys being part of. With his sharp skills and steady approach, Nolberto continues to be a valuable member of our QRS shop, keeping our equipment running strong. Meet Patrick Grenier, a Mechanic 4 at our North Charleston, SC QRS Shop. Patrick was among the first team members to join us when we opened our location and has brought a wealth of experience to our team. Patrick shared, “I have been at QRS for over six years and have been an overall mechanic for about 18 years now.” A true veteran mechanic, Patrick handles everything from trailers to trucks and is always prepared to tackle any challenge. Meet Jacob Pierce, a shop mechanic originally from St. Louis, Missouri, who began his journey with us in 2013 and for nearly a decade ran the Memphis, TN, QRS shop. Jacob now works for the QRS Shop in Buckeye, AZ. When asked what brought him to work in Buckeye, Jacob replied, “I always wanted to live on the West coast and when this opportunity for growth and relocation came along, I took it.” A true all-arounder, Jacob manages everything from ordering parts to fixing trailers and so much more. His efforts have helped our QRS Shop in Memphis grow into one of the largest physical locations in the United States. Jacob says, “I was kind of the trailblazer for QRS at the Memphis shop by helping to open it brand new.” He credits leaders like Scott Hunt, Vice President - Fleet Operations and Jenna Randolph, Sr. Director - Business Operations, for being a source of inspiration, sharing how they were the first ones he reached out to throughout his journey. It’s clear Jacob thrives in an environment where trust and connection are valued! Thank you, Jacob, for being a key part of our team and for all the dedication you’ve shown over the years!

Ronald Gay’s journey in the trucking industry began at the Lima Chemical Plant, where he loaded box trucks and bulk trucks. For over 13 years, he has been a valued regional affiliate driver for Quality Carriers, operating out of Terminal 710 in Lima, OH. Receiving the Million Mile Safe Driver Award holds special significance for Ronald, as it validates his commitment to operating in a safe manner. He offers this invaluable safety tip to fellow drivers: "Never be afraid to ask questions for things you don't understand or to ask for help. You get out and look. You're the captain of your ship and safety has to be the priority." Ronald's unwavering dedication to safety serves as an inspiration to us all. We recently had the pleasure of hosting Kaiden, a local high school student, at our Terminal 185 in Appleton, WI! Kaiden is working on a project based learning assignment and is very interested in the trucking industry. Terminal Manager Todd Wiedman noted that Kaiden came prepared, "He asked a ton of questions and I could tell he researched the job. He wants to become an OTR driver and see the countryside while making money." Kaiden was looking for an opportunity to job shadow in order to gain a deeper understanding of the industry.
