Everyone at Red Hat has a story. For Bradley Bennett, a non-traditional student and a business analyst intern at Red Hat, that story began in the banking industry - and while he enjoyed his role and was progressing in his career, he felt the technology industry would be where he thrived. Bradley’s journey is proof that if you’re someone who has a passion for technology, there are pathways to your destination even if you’re starting new in the field. Read about Bradley’s journey here.

At Red Hat, we're proud to partner with Teens in AI, a global initiative inspiring teens to tackle real-world challenges using open source AI. Since January 2025, Red Hatters and Red Hat partners across EMEA have organized educational talks and workshops on AI and social innovation. This culminated in a global hackathon in April, where teams like Menova (Pakistan), Vuka Learn (South Africa) and HandEcho (Tunisia) showcased creative AI solutions for menopause support, hybrid learning platforms, mental health and ASL communication for individuals with speech disabilities. This partnership embodies Red Hat's commiment to making AI more accessible, transparent and community-driven. By empowering young voices, we're not just closing the AI skills gap - we're helping to shape a more inclusive future for technology.
Just down the road from our Raleigh headquarters, North Carolina State University was facing a familiar IT challenge: fragmented infrastructure, volatile licensing costs and skill silos. When their virtualization vendor's pricing model changed, IT Manager Shawn Taylor knew a patchwork fix wouldn't be enough. A conversation with a Red Hatter introduced him to Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization, enabling his team to consolidate virtualization, storage and container workloads onto a single platform, Red Hat OpenShift. Today, Shawn's team is replacing complexity with consistency, and silos with shared collaboration, and this partnership is helping lay the groundwork for an IT future that's as agile as it is sustainable.
