Mentor 🤝 Mentee Sequoia’s Mentor Program pairs seasoned managers with the next generation of Sequoia leaders. Over the last two years, James, an Assistant Community Manager, has had the opportunity to be partnered with Theresa, a Senior Community Manager. Reflecting on his experience, James shares, “Theresa is more than just a mentor to me - she has been a trainer, a friend, and a guiding light throughout my professional journey. Her insights, guidance, and support have been invaluable, and I am constantly amazed by her dedication to helping me succeed.” We are excited to welcome our new mentors and mentees for the 2024 season! 🙌 #ElevateToSequoia
Our Teams 🤝 Volunteering As part of the Our Purpose initiative, our regions come together annually to give back to their communities! This past week, our South Bay Area teams volunteered at Martha's Kitchen, chopping vegetables and packing produce for their grocery distribution. Martha’s Kitchen provides nearly 250,000 meals each month through their hot meal and grocery programs. We're proud to make a positive impact on the greater community. 💙
Last month, the Altamont Summit team proudly raised $1,000 for the Autism Society of Oregon and participated in the 22nd Annual Walk to support their programs and raise awareness. 💙
To honor #AutismAwarenessMonth, several of our team members shared and wore ribbons at their communities, with the goal of sparking conversations and raising awareness.💙
💖 Purpose Highlight 💖 We're thrilled to spotlight our team members making a difference! Recently, Tim M., Assistant Community Manager, discovered an opportunity to support a local school in Kenya during a visit with family. With nearly 200 students lacking essential learning materials like pencils, pens, workbooks, and even personal care products for girls, Tim sprung into action. “I was trying to think outside the box when it came to my Purpose Hours. Since the majority of my family still resides there I wanted to at least touch one community in need. All in all, I was able to provide every student with 3 pencils, 2 work books, 2 pens (for the older students) and for the girls grade 4 and up have enough personal care products to last through the month of April. It was so refreshing and honestly I was not expecting to leave with a full heart.” We are so proud to offer this perk to our team members and it’s truly heartwarming to see them giving back to those in need. #ElevateToSequoia
