As part of our training initiative to enhance employee engagement, team members recently completed the 'Perfecting the Look' contest. This comprehensive course empowers our officers to understand the importance of a polished, professional appearance, master uniform requirements, and confidently follow grooming standards and personal hygiene expectations. Recently, our Regional and Executive Leadership teams visited several sites in Northern California. These visits included both newly established sites and those where we have been providing security services for some time. We believe in a hands-on approach, and our leadership teams regularly spend time in the field to ensure smooth operations and provide the necessary support to our teams. During these visits, leadership had the opportunity to connect with several dedicated team members, including Site Manager Francisco Soto at a newer site, and Site Lead Dwan Strong and Officer Jarvis Jackson. At Sunstates, we are passionate about employee development and fostering a culture of continuous learning. We’re grateful to our team members from the St. Louis region who during a recent winter storm went above and beyond expectations. Account Manager Mostyn Phillips and Shift Supervisor Rolly Karns were stationed at the site for the duration of the storm. They stayed vigilant and worked extended hours to ensure uninterrupted coverage while other team members we unable to access the remote site due to the inclement weather. Please help us welcome Aarron Cook to the growing St Louis region! Aarron is a valuable addition to the Sunstates Security team as Regional Manager. With over 28 years of experience in management, including 18 years of leadership within the security industry, he brings a wealth of expertise to the role. Boasting a proven track record of success, Aarron has managed security teams, from a few site supervisors to large-scale operations with over 100 officers. His experience spans diverse industries, including corporate security, higher education, and pharmaceutical sites. He has successfully implemented comprehensive security programs for universities, government agencies, and major corporations. Furthermore, Aarron is passionate about developing and implementing effective training programs to ensure that all staff are well-prepared to handle any emergency. Some previous titles Aarron held include Client Manager, District Manager, Director of Campus Safety and Director of Security and Safety. As Regional Manager for Sunstates, he will play a crucial role in interacting with clients, managing strategic projects, and overseeing all aspects of security and safety operations. With his extensive expertise in crisis response, risk management, and compliance, he will ensure the highest level of service to both our clients and our employees.
The leadership team recently visited a site in Charlotte, NC, to express their gratitude to Site Supervisor Cassandra Sumlin for her consistently exceptional performance. She greets visitors at the door, cleans the lobby instead of calling maintenance, and supplies the conference room with water bottles for scheduled board meetings—all without being asked. Her initiative and drive led to her well deserved promotion to Site Supervisor at the client’s headquarters. When asked about her experience at Sunstates, Cassandra highlighted the supportive leadership. She is grateful for the leadership team’s genuine care for officers and their availability and willingness to assist whenever needed.
