Does there seem to be diversity at Amgen?

Very nice campus, good amenities, like a gym, cafes, etc.

Very bad upper management. Toxic, abusive, no way to feed this back. They don't follow the amgen values and seem to be working very hard to remove older workers for newer cheaper labor. The discrimination is real and there isn't much that can be done about it. This is so disappointing because Amgen used to be a really great place to work. Now though, diversity of ideas and contributions are not valued unless they are identical to upper management, who is often very far out of touch. There are very few opportunities to grow and learn and the ones available are often not allowed by management.

They do a good job in promoting diversity and inclusion by hosting events and information sessions…

A primary concern is the prevalence of transactional managers over inspirational leaders, compounded by an acute shortage of staff handling an excessive workload, a culture of favoritism, and a marked lack of respect for Amgen's internal experience compared to external hires. These issues collectively eradicate any semblance of work-life balance, and paradoxically, the company often celebrates impressive double-digit growth while simultaneously claiming that financial complexities prevent better compensation for its employees.

The pay and benefits is great. The diversity is amazing.

The culture here is awful. No team builders. Lack of personality. Just grunt working from 8am-5pm

* Lots of opportunities for professional development of skills. * Make a real effort to create a comfortable and inclusive environment for employees - not just words on their 'company values' list. *Promote a culture of continuous improvement and provide access to many tools and resources to help you drive those improvements. *Patient centricity is seen and felt throughout the organisation - This is promoted across each region and you are reminded why you are really there - to serve patients. *Flexible work culture - Getting the job done is what's important, not how many days/hours you are in the office/working.

*Change management can still be an obstacle or challenge - as with most companies, however they are moving in the right direction.

401k, great products, decent company cars

Poor leadership and the wrong people continue to get promoted. Courage is discouraged and actively managed out. Currently operating with fear based management style. High turnover. Unrealistic goals for many brands. Low diversity.

Flexibility, good combination of remote and office work. Good salaries. Generally respectful, positive and inclusive culture. Good work-life balance.

Subject to a lot of change and restructuring, which is not uncommon in the industry.
