Does Microsoft offer a wellness program?

      Microsoft reviews

      Fine for now

      Software engineer
      Former employee

      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Incredible smart and collaborative colleagues — you're surrounded by some of the best engineers in the world. Great compensation and benefits, including generous parental leave, 401k matching, and wellness perks. Career mobility is strong — it’s possible to switch teams, orgs, or even disciplines with manager support. Remote/hybrid flexibility has improved a lot since 2020. Culture encourages work-life balance more than you'd expect from Big Tech.

      Cons

Like many large companies, there’s a lot of process, and decision-making can be slow. Performance reviews feel a bit opaque, and there's still a "stack ranking" vibe even if unofficial. Some teams can be hit-or-miss — experiences vary widely depending on your org and manager. Innovation sometimes takes a backseat to risk aversion in mature product areas.

      Pros

The benefits are covered basically 100%, the 1500 for health and wellness, depending on team you can work hybrid

      Cons

There isn't really a better culture here then AWS/Google. its all the same. Expect to work hard, there really isn't room for play.

Amazing internal staff, questionable leadership at the C Suite level

      Software engineer

      Business outlook

      Pros

Amazing leadership from the Management level down, amazing benefits, genuine care for mental health and balance between work and personal life

      Cons

C-suite and director levels are disconnected from their base and from actions alone, seem to only care about their shareholder relationships instead of their employees. They do not practice what they preach internally.
