No interview was offered. I had a brief call with a recruiter who was friendly and professional, but the hiring manager dismissed my application without any direct conversation.
The reason given was “lack of energy and logistics sector experience,” despite my six years working directly in the energy sector and a strong background in logistics, with many great connections in the sector.
I fully understand that not every candidate will be successful and I respect that, but not being offered even a 10-minute chat based on an inaccurate assumption feels unfair. It was frustrating not to be given the chance to clarify my experience.
The decision seemed to be made on paper, not on actual facts.
