Before everything started, I was given two tests. One of which I could use a calculator to solve and that was for the first test that they gave me. The first test consisted of 8 questions that will test you on your actuarial knowledge, coding materials, general knowledge and basic math problems. The first two question for me was on finding the premium for an employee's retirement benefit. There were in total of 2 coding questions and the rest were on everything else I have mentioned.
Then, after 45 minutes, I was given the second test which was on basic math problems. Sounds easy right? But the questions got harder as you progress towards the end, I think there was around 18 questions in total? Also, you are not allowed to use a calculator on this one.
After both of those tests, I was seated outside and had to wait a couple minutes before they called me in. As I enter the room, there was around 10-13 people in the meeting room that was ready to interview myself. To my understanding, almost the whole team under Mr Hassan was there.
The interview questions for me was very generic. First, they asked me the "tell me more about yourself". So, be sure to practice that one right away and basically the whole interview carried on based on what I told them for that first question. As for me, I talked about the projects I did and my involvement in school that highlighted my strengths.
It was brought to my attention that for this company, the longer your interview process, the better you did. Mine however ran pretty short, but that's okay.
I hope this helps other people out there. Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions.
