I applied online. I interviewed at Aflac in Apr 2022
Interview
You are required to attend a webinar prior to interviewing. It is scheduled during the work day, and although the invitation specifically states that you can request a different time if the webinar time doesn’t work for you, they are inflexible with accommodating other times.
Direct quote from email invitation to webinar:
“If this time is not convenient, please let me know and we can find a session that will fit your schedule.”
And when I asked for a more convenient time:
“No, [redacted]. These are designed to be at lunchtime or break, one-half hour on the web. The 1-1 interviews are at your convenience. I am sorry we cannot change these and they are a requirement so you can see if you are a fit.”
It would have been nice to continue the conversation and have the opportunity for flexibility. It was weird to be shut down like that when I asked for something they literally told me I could ask for. My breaks aren’t scheduled and are different every day depending on morning/afternoon workload, so this won’t be possible for you if you’re in a similar position.
Zoom meeting with regional manager. Was very thorough and informative. Good conversations and questions. I felt very comfortable and the manager was very easy to talk to. Was very satisfied with the whole process and excited to work with them.
They had one group meeting to discuss the job and then 6+ months before interviews. Takes a very long time to follow up but stay vigilant if you want to work for this company.
Started off as a group interview. This was not disclosed prior to the interview. It felt humiliating and degrading. No one said anything that felt genuine or welcoming. I left halfway through because it was so nauseating
