I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Feb 2016
Interview
First I was interviewed by a recruiter who referred me to a hiring manager who was looking for a professional with my experience. The first interviewer was very concise and nice overall. The second interviewer was a bit more stern.
The interview was somewhat tedious and very long. I had meetings with different profiles and had to prepare for the interview following their STARS model. While it was useful to have a written methodology, the process was very tiring because they gave you information in dribs and drabs and without a detailed description of the conditions.

I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon (Las Vegas, NV)
Interview
The interview was very awkward because they had someone with no experience or knowledge of the role conduct it. I felt like they had trouble understanding the key concepts of the role and were looking for metrics, which are more measurable/important for a finance role (their field). The overall Amazon interview experience is very…corporate… to say the least. You really interact with automatic emails and schedulers more than the recruiter.
I never got a denial. I just never heard back and eventually got a survey to rate the phone interview with experience.

Question 1
I don’t remember but it was about their leadership principles.
The process went great. They gave you enough information to prepare ahead. However, there were a lot of questions, so you need to prepare extensively. There were both behavioral questions and portfolio review sessions
